Sting to Perform at Nobel Peace Price Concert 11th December In Oslo

Sting will perform at the 23rd annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on Sunday, December 11th in Oslo, Norway at the Telenor Arena. Performing a song off his new pop/rock album, 57th & 9th as well as some classic hits, Sting will join a musical lineup that already includes Halsey and Highasakite, with Conan O’Brien serving as the evening’s host.

Today, the most famed Englishman in New York announced the 57th & 9th tour, spanning across North America and into Europe. His first rock album in more than ten years, 57th & 9th was debuted at a set of sold out shows at NYC’s Irving Plaza earlier in November. It was also confirmed that Sting would be performing the re-opening of the Bataclan in Paris. The wait is over. '57th & 9th', Sting's first rock/pop album in over a decade, is available now...

57th & 9threpresents a wide range of Sting’s musical and songwriting styles, from the ferocious, Road Warrior-style imagery of “Petrol Head,” to the anthemic, “50,000” and the raucous, guitar-driven first single, “I Can’t Stop Thinking About You.” The album was recorded with Sting’s long-time collaborators Dominic Miller (guitar) and Vinnie Colaiuta (drums) and includes contributions from drummer Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, Guns n’ Roses), guitarist Lyle Workman and the San Antonio-based Tex-Mex band The Last Bandoleros. Riding a wave of inspiration, 57th & 9th came together impulsively, with sessions completed in just a few weeks...
